Summer Time = Summer Dreaming

Summer 2012 has reached the Irish shores but as it does this Summer Dreamer is about to jet off to the USA.

My first blog sets out the summer dreams and aspirations of the typical J1 Irish Student.... Sun, Sea, and Sex (Joke). Of course it is a summer where dreams will be fulfilled and dashed, for many Irish revelers.  They like myself and my friends have broken free from the chains of the Irish education constraints. When it comes down to it this new found freedom of finishing College and the infamous undergraduate, it can be the biggest anti-climax to the best 4 years of your life...... Well in many cases, for others it begins the summer of  the big American adventure with thousands of students flocking to Boston,  New York, Chicago, and for this blogger San Francisco to find that summer job with a hint of adventure in it. It really is the stereotypical Irish summer to live The American dream. For me is almost a reality...... 2 days until the dreaming that got me through those final exams in college is here.

Expectations for this summer........ 

Summer Romance is probably one of the biggest appeals to the American summer as well as the prospect of being in attendance to one of the infamous frat parties we buy into in the movies.... Hey a boy can dream..... Selling yourself into the whole American summer is a good way to leave the college era behind you because letting go of the bubble you have been in for the past 4 years, is a lot harder to burst than some would think, so why not venture onto American Shores to lose some self respect, make some new friends, work some meaningless job just because you wanna party all weekend.

It sounds like the best option for this blogger, so now that the blog is up and running I guess it's time to pack and well perhaps dust off the self respect I'm about to lose this summer; but hey perhaps a little summer romance is in store....... Who Knows
